Tom Kay
Producer
Tom is a Production Manager and Producer with 20 years of experience in TVCs and scripted TV, alongside branded content and animation, working for production companies and agency in-house production teams.
He has extensive experience running studio, location and virtual production shoots both at home and in over 20 countries. Shoots ranging from small, low-budget content or 2nd unit run-and-gun crews, to multiple units of 100+ crew with stunts, SFX, VFX, animatronics and animation.
He stays calm, and plans for the worst case so most problems are solved before they arrive. He finds alternatives to problems, whether logistical, creative or financial, drawing on his wide range of experience and knowledge of suppliers. Many of the producers he’s worked with have kept hiring him even as they’ve moved companies.
Tom also works in development as a scriptwriter. He likes a challenge outside work as much as in it, and has cycled the length of Japan: 3,265km.
